College Support Program

Going away to college can be a very exciting, but also a scary time. Sometimes, incoming/new students can feel like they are all alone. But, we want you to know that NANA’s Shareholder Development Department is here for you every step of the way!
Continuing your education is a huge step and we recognize our NANA shareholder students need additional support during this incredible time in their lives. In summer 2009, we kicked off a College Support Program for our modern day hunters!
Students who are going away to college or pursuing any type of post-secondary education, now have four ways to stay connected and find support.
- Planned activities/workshops in Anchorage during the summer for NANA interns and any shareholder student.
- Students can connect and find guidance through our student support gatherings throughout the fall and spring semesters. This will give shareholder students the opportunity to get together to discuss current issues, make new friends, connect with NANA managers, and also just to hang out and have fun!
- moderndayhunters is a social network created for NANA shareholder college students and shareholders interested in pursuing postsecondary education.
- Shareholders can find and connect with other shareholders who are attending the same college, studying the same major, get help from someone with course assignments or find a study partner. This site also has an online chat tool.
- Members of moderndayhunters will receive up-to-date information from NANA's Shareholder Development Department; including scholarship reminders, notice of internship opportunities and much more! Go to http://moderndayhunters.ning.com/ to join.
- Our resource guide provides information for students, including copies of all the presentations from workshops we provide and information on local resources.
